After my paper yesterday, I went to watch
Casino Royale with Waisan and Kairu, my CS friends.
It was better than expected.
Surprisingly.At least they had the decency to cut down on the "act cool" scenes, the flashing gadgets and the sex icons portions. True, there are still alot of sexual innuendos being thrown around. But they are mostly just words not acted upon. A movie in which a woman is finally not a pure sex object, but a thing of wit and love.
Finally, a movie produced by people with brains.
It's no pure coincidence that it's produced by the English and not by any other. No wonder there's interplay of intellectual wit than pure physial gore. And the gore is just enough to bring the story along. Superb mastery.

I like that scene on the train, where Bond was talking to Vesper. 100% pure English poison - sarcasm so thick you can touch and die instantly on the train floor. Smart, absolutely unbearable.
I love this line. "You're not my type. You're single."
And that torture sceen is damn funny. Funny in the sick way. And "sick" does take on a whole lot of different meanings here.

SPOILERS END HERE. YOU CAN DIVERT YOUR EYES BACK HERE. YES HERE.The new Bond is astonishingly...*searching for a word*...apt. A great body. A rugged feel. No more flashy, washy Bond. It's like Bond squeezed straight out of the toothpaste tube. No tricks, just plain Bond. Nice. Very nice.
The ending, however, left much to be desired. After watching the ending, I can only use one word to describe my feeling - grey. Numb. Emotionless. Nothing much to say about it. It's just this sense of greyness extending to the horizon and far beyond. You can seek no end to it, nor can u find a start to it. Maybe that's what Bond is all about. Grey.

Blissful in Sanity Our group is the most pia of all groups, cos we are always staying over in school and rushing the project when other groups have left. Luckily I live so near the school, so I can walk back to Hall at 4am or 7am. But it's daunting when you think "I've to continue doing this for the rest of my life?!!" Anyway, I play multiple
backstage roles k! Check out the chinese words for the roles. Please leave some good comments here, bad ones ermz.... not welcomed. Hahaaazz.

Shattered The first time I watch it, I want to watch the movie. The second time I watch it, it's okay only (haha). Btw, their site is outsourced. That explains the high quality. Ours is made bit by bit by hand, by US k!

报告班长，这是我们第一年学生的作品。

Blissful in Sanity 这是经过了好几个通宵才完成的。本人可以说是赴汤蹈火、呕心沥血完成的。个人身兼三职：欸敌的 （ei-di-de)、卡马热五门(ke-ma-re wu-men)、特科尼生 耳斯尔灯 (te-ke-ni-sheng er-si-er-den)。希望大家高抬贵口，评一评吧。说些好的吧，坏的就不用说了。

I'm back!!!!
After a month of 闭关, I'm finally alive and kicking again. Back in action, I present to you Miss Rachel Tay Ru Yan. A girl who's appproaching 19 years old in 3 days time (in case you've forgotten, here's a kind reminder).
For all those 善男性女们，here's a list of I-wants to speed things up:
1. K-session
2. Pool session (not the kind that involves water but rather balls and cues)
3. Movies marathon!
4. Mahjong (itchy hands)!!
5. Shopping!!!
Just a little bit more hint, here are some of my stuff that's spoilt:
1. Pencil Case (its cover is peeling off, literally)
2. Handphone pouch (peeling also!)
3. Laptop pouch (but CS gang seems to be songing this, I hope! *grinz*)
But I won't mind more clothes, shoes, CDs, VCDs, DVDs, accessories or a trekking bag! 我是来者不拒! I'm saving up for the last item anyway (going trekking like 2-3 times this hols).
But the thing I want most is meeting EW and extended clique!! Arrr... y does NUS start so late... right after zhang wanlin's paper end! Can't meet to mahjong n sing n shop n play!!! Ar..... quick quick let that miserable chinese paper be over soon! TTYL tata~
